What is Cluztr?

Cluztr is a FREE add-on for your web browser that lets you explore the web with your friends, meet new people and discover sites that relate to you, your friends and your interests.

What is a clickstream?

A clickstream is a virtual trail that you leave behind while browsing the Internet. Your clickstream reflects your interests, likes and dislikes and your values.

What can I do with my clickstream?

You can collect it, publish it, share it, or subscribe to your friend's clickstreams. Cluztr automatically aggregates your data and provides recommended links and people that match your interests.

Third party services and widgets can tap into Cluztr's open API which supports several formats.

Is there anything to download or install?

Yes, there is a small download required but don't worry, it doesn't contain any spyware, adware or malware and you can uninstall it easily.

Which browsers are supported?

Cluztr generation 1 supports Firefox 1.5, 2.0 and Flock on both PCs and Macs. The generation 2 release will support Internet Explorer and Safari sometime in 2007.

Will my surfing habits be recorded?

Cluztr tags where you go on the web - so your friends and the community can benefit from the great sites you find. However, you only get tagged when you are signed-in to your Cluztr account and browsing a non-secure site.

Can other people see what I'm doing online?

If you turn the browser extension ON, others will be able to see what page you’re looking at, but no one can access any page of yours that requires a log-in. For example, if you're on Gmail, no one can access the page you're reading. Cluztr also does not capture any username or password information at any time.

How can I protect my privacy?

There a several features that allow you to enjoy Cluztr while protecting your personal privacy. You can set your clickstream to private, so only your friends will be able to see it. You can clear your browsing history at any time, list certain sites as "private" and setup additional privacy settings like an adult content filter.

What can I do when people spam or harass me?

As we are currently in an early development phase, we need your support finding spammers and harassers. Please send us any complaints as soon as possible with some documentation/links. In the future we are planning to make blocking and muting possible.

What does "beta" mean?

It means the application is mostly working, but is in a state of constant improvement.

How can I post my ideas idea or report a bug?

Please send us your ideas and bug reports. We are doing our best to respond to all comments and ideas. We are prioritizing further development and debugging based on your feedback, so you will certainly be heard.
